Margaret Hefferman is a writer and visual artist from Durham Region. A member of the Writer’s Community of Durham Region (WCDR), she has published three books for young ones, Bedtime Treasures, The Mysterious Door and the Crystal Grove.
She is also an artist. Born into a family that values the creative side of life, she was encouraged to cultivate her natural talents. Her love of painting and colouring go as far back as she can remember, starting with colouring books, paint-by-number sets and doodling on paper as a small child. She started her painting career with oils, but her favourite medium is acrylic. She also works with mixed medium and pen and ink.
Margaret is inspired by nature, as well as fantasy and imagination. Most importantly she searches her heart for inspiration, hoping to touch the hearts of the people who view and purchase her work.
